Louisiana detective Raymond Mott was fired after a photo of him giving a salute at a KKK anti-immigration rally surfaced. Mott initially claimed that he was working undercover at the event, but he later admitted to being involved with the Loyal White Knights chapter of the KKK at the time the photo was taken.

After Police Chief Ray Marcantel called on the Lake Arthur Town Council to fire Mott, the detective refused to resign and he says he has plans to sue the city on claims that his firing was illegal. Officials revealed that all of Mott's cases are now under review, and charges will likely be dropped against defendants where Mott's testimony is the only one available.
