LMFAO's 8ky 6lu is the product of a Black man and a White woman, a concept that confused him a bit as he grew up in California with self-identiy issues. "In the beginning - when I was younger - I went to private schools, and I actually thought my name was n****r. I didn't know what the word n****r meant, 'cause I was the only Black kid," he tells us in this somber exclusive.

Growing up of German, Irish, Scottish, Cherokee Indian and African (by way of Detroit) descent, 8ky 6lu says he didn't really find himself until he met inner-city kids in public school he could relate to. During this clip he also shares his thoughts on Chet Haze, the n-word, and why in the end he doesn't think it's "gonna keep it's weight." Because ultimately words are just words, and 8ky 6lu believes they "only have the power that we give them."
