During a recent interview, Aftermath emcee Justus spoke to VladTV correspondent Dominique Zonyee about playing small venues and growing up in Garland, Texas, before a life changing moment of signing with Dr. Dre.

The "Beast" emcee also spoke about what it was like working on Dre's "Compton: A Soundtrack" album, and Justus shared a story about watching Kendrick Lamar walk in the studio and finish the three songs he's featured on, "Genocide," "Darkside/Gone," and "Deep Water," in just two hours. He also spoke about how Dre has influenced him to be a better writer and also how to tell a full story in his songs.

Being that Justus is a white rapper signed to Aftermath it's not unusual that he would be compared to Eminem, but the Texas native said that they aren't very similar musically. He told us that while he respects Em, Justus adds that listeners will clearly be able to tell them apart when he drops a full album.
