West Coast rapper Phora is starting to make a name for himself in the Orange County area, but the 20-year-old was nearly taken out of the game after being involved in a shooting on the 210 freeway in Pasadena.
Phora told his over 300,000 Instagram followers that he was riding down the freeway with his girl when a silver car pulled up beside him and fired three shots in his car. His girlfriend was riding in the passenger seat, and while she wasn't hit, Phora was hit with a .45 in the back of the head.
He explained, "The bullet traveled from my shoulder through to my neck up towards the back of my head. I was shot with a .45, and the bullet was stuck in the back of my head/neck JUST MISSING MY SPINAL CHORD, Vertebrae, etc. where I could've been paralyzed for the rest of my life, or even dead."
The young spitter then revealed that he doesn't know if the shooting was targeted or random, but Phora added that "it saddens me to know there's people out there that have no remorse and actually have the nerve to try and take a persons life."
