Tyler, the Creator had to cancel his concert dates in the UK and Ireland, and the West Coast emcee explained that it's over some of his old lyrics.

"BASED ON LYRICS FROM 2009 I AM NOT ALLOWED IN THE UK FOR 3-5 YEARS ( although i was there 8 weeks ago). THAT IS WHY THE SHOWS WERE CANCELLED."

Tyler's manager Christian Clancy explained things in more detail on his blog, The Phuckery, and he revealed that he received a letter from the Secretary of State for the Home Department explaining why Tyler couldn't tour in the UK.

Despite performing in the UK dozens of times, Clancy explained that lyrics from "Bastard" (2010) and "Goblin" (2011) were being used against him.

"The letter specifically cites lyrics he wrote 6-7 years ago for his albums bastard and goblin – the type of lyrics he hasn't written since... highlights from the letter include that his work 'encourages violence and intolerance of homosexuality' and 'fosters hatred with views that seek to provoke others to terrorist acts..'"

This comes just after Tyler had to cancel tour dates in Australia after a petition was started by feminist group Collective Shout to get the rapper's visa revoked. The group argued that Tyler' "Propagates discriminatory ideas about women and other groups, and represent a danger to a segment of the Australian community on the potential basis of incitement to the acts of hatred."
