Footage of rapper Wiz Khalifa being taken down vigorously by LAPD cops has riled up fans after it was discovered he was arrested for riding a hoverboard.

According to The Daily Beast, the incident happened Saturday afternoon when the "Say So" rapper was returning to Los Angeles from Finland. He was also on his gold plated Smart Balance Wheel scooter, which are also seen as modern hoverboards. After several officers approached the rapper about his device, Wiz is heard telling them he won't be giving up his technology since he didn't do anything wrong.

"This? I didn't do nothing, anyway," he said. "What you want to do? Put me in jail because I didn't listen to what you say?" he says to the cops. "We can have all the conversations you want to, you can end up on TMZ, destined to become as famous as you wanna be."

As the time stamp shows, a few minutes later he was seen on the floor with multiple officers on top of him. With the cops yelling "stop resisting," Wiz can be seen complying through their demands.

He took to Twitter and Instagram Saturday evening with the footage and believes that he was arrested simply because they didn't know what his self-balancing scooter was, and didn't care to find out.

"What's even funnier than them not being able to do s*** is they'll be riding them soon as well. Maybe ones I design," he tweeted. "stand for our generation and our generation is gonna be riding hover boards so if you don't like it eat a d***!"

Many celebs have endorsed the mini segways like Chris Brown, Carmelo Anthony and Jamie Foxx.

The LAPD has not spoken out on the incident and the behavior of the police officers. See the disturbing arrest and the rapper's tweets in the slides above.
