With Straight Outta Compton receiving critical praise for it's depiction of N.W.A, Master P is going the biopic route by creating his own.

According to Vibe, the mogul announced "Ice Cream Man: King of The South" will be released next spring. The biopic will focus on the rapper's beginnings at the Calliope Projects in New Orleans to reshaping the independent label game by selling 75 million records worldwide with No Limit Records.

From the looks of the guerrilla-style trailer, there will plenty of raw footage from Percy Miller's reign and a focus on the come up of southern rap. The film will be written by Miller, Wayne Conley and Parde Bridget. Conley has writing credits in comedies like the 2010 romantic flick Our Family Wedding, the Nickelodeon's cult classic, "Kenan & Kel" and the Disney's "Austin and Ally."

The director of the film hasn't been unveiled.
