When it comes to not taking a loss, all week may have turned into all month for Drake. Even with allegations of a ghostwriter and numerous reference tracks, the Toronto rapper broke the Billboard charts as the first artist to obtain platinum status for an album release in 2015.

Without any early promotion or announcement for Drake's album, If You're Reading This It's Too Late, sales soared over a span of a few months, and even more since OVO Fest, as it was reported 8,000 copies of the album were sold just last week pushing its sales to 1.007 million.

Keeping up these numbers it's possible for Drake to surpass Taylor Swift's 2014 album that also sold over a million copies the year it was released; totalling over 5 million copies to date. Not an easy task to accomplish but still possible. Let's see how the rest of the year pans out for the remaining artists who dropped dope hip hop albums this year.

Do you think someone will catch up to Drake's IYRTITL album sales?
