On Saturday, August 9, 2014, 18-year-old Michael Brown was gunned down by former Ferguson police officer, Darren Wilson. Since then, dozens of young, Black men have been killed by law enforcement, and the state of America has hit a new low.  Women have been mysteriously popping up dead in jail cells, a 12-year-old was fatally shot by cops in Cleveland, Ohio, and most authorities commiting these crimes are walking away scot-free.

As activists visit and protesters Ferguson, Missouri  to pay tribute to Mike Brown, several rappers and figures in the hip-hop culture have voiced their sympathy on their social media pages. Last night rappers Immortal Technique, Common, Talib Kweli, Bun B and others shared the stage at the "Ferguson Is Everywhere" Concert, a hip-hop show they put on for free in exchange for canned goods and money for Mike Brown's family.

Check out hip-hop's take on the actions that took place this time last year in the gallery, and sound off on the last year in America below.

Rest In Peace Mike Brown.
