Since coming into her own in 2013, Miley Cyrus has been vocal when it comes to her music and even more blunt towards her sexuality.

In an interview with Marie Claire, the singer speaks on sexism in the music industry and double standards with media portrayals. During her interview, she spoke out on Kendrick Lamar and Taylor Swift, citing the media's favoritism towards the artists. Miley slammed Taylor's "Bad Blood" video featuring women fighting each other with guns, when she's constantly scrutinized for being partially naked on stage and on her Instagram. "I don't get the violence revenge thing," she said. "That's supposed to be a good example? And I'm a bad role model because I'm running around with my titties out? I'm not sure how titties are worse than guns."

She also believes Kendrick Lamar's critics welcome his honest lyrical content, but parents and critics often shun her music. "There is so much sexism, ageism, you name it," she said. "Kendrick Lamar sings about LSD and he's cool. I do it and I'm a druggie whore."

Miley will make her return to the MTV VMA stage as the host of the award show on Aug. 30.
