Authorities have released graphic video of a road rage incident which left a grandfather lying on the street after being run over by his own car early Friday.

Police in Hemet, California, found 53-year-old Tracy Leavitt in the street, unable to move, after the horrifying attack which was caught on camera by a bystander.

In the video, Leavitt can be seen arguing with a man next to a white pickup truck before his own car rushes into view and strikes him at about 30 mph. The impact throws Leavitt several feet into the air.

The man with whom Leavitt had been arguing can clearly be heard yelling "Yeah!" as he's struck by the vehicle.

It's not known how the man driving Leavitt's car was able to take it.

Leavitt was taken to the hospital with injuries that included a collapsed lung and broken bones, while the Hemet police are calling the incident "assault with a deadly weapon."

No arrests have been made as of yet.
