Travis Scott was slapped with a charge of disorderly conduct after encouraging his fans to storm the stage during his set at Lollapalooza on Saturday.

Police say that the chaos began soon after the Houston rapper started his set when he began urging the crowd to climb over the security barricades separating them from the stage. After witnessing members of security attempting to stop fans from reaching the stage, the 23-year-old emcee then told the crowd, "middle finger to security right now!" which predictably energized the audience further.

Chicago's Office of Emergency Management issued a statement saying, "The performer played one song and then began telling fans to come over the barricades. Due to the security's quick response, the situation was remedied immediately and no fans were injured. The performer fled the scene and was taken into custody a short while later."

Scott was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, and has since posted bail and been released.
