When streetwear was really beginning to flourish and coincided with the hip-hop community in the early 90's, brands like FUBU were taking off in the Black community. Launching both apparel and sneakers the FUBU (For Us By Us) became a staple for urban fashion with rappers, and everyone else in between cosigning the brand. Though it originated from and for the Black community, people from different racial backgrounds drew to the brand as well and began to wear it.

Fast forwarding to the current date, FUBU is now a relic from the past and has since then dwindled down to a brand that sneakerheads would more than likely crack up laughing if someone was caught wearing them. In a recent video clip, a pro-Confederate citizen was seen wearing a pair of FUBU sneakers during a rally and was then approached by the camera man, George Chidi, who informed him of what the sneakers he was wearing represented.

Check out what the man's response was to the sneaker education he received in the video above.
