Two responding officers in the Samuel DuBose case will face no charges aside Officer Ray Tensing for falsely corroborating the timeline of the shooting.

According to The Guardian, University of Cincinnati police officers Phillip Kidd and David Lindenschmidt were behind Tensing when he fired his gun at an unarmed DuBose during a traffic stop in July. Tensing shot the father of 13 in the head after he refused to step out of his car. During questioning of the shooting, Kidd and Lindenschmidt echoed Tensing's story of DuBose pulling his arm and dragging him on the floor, but when body cam footage was released on Wednesday, it painted a different story with Tensing being the alleged aggressor in the incident.

A grand jury decided not to charge the men with obstruction of justice because their official statements did not include the dragging statements. A statement from the county prosecutor's office elaborated on the case. "Two UC officers arrived on the scene as Tensing was reaching into Mr Dubose's car. Both officers made comments at the scene but later were interviewed in depth by Cincinnati Police Officers about what they had had witnessed," the statement says. "In their official interviews, neither officer said that they had seen Tensing being dragged."

State prosecutor Ray Deters agreed with the decision made on Friday.

"These officers were totally cooperative in the investigation and consistent in their statements." he said.

Tensing is facing murder charges for the shooting and if convicted can face 15 years to life in prison.
