Alton Harvey, 42, of Hillside, New Jersey, was arrested after video surveillance led police to a white van he was driving when he and a passenger took $150,000 mistakenly left by an ATM worker outside a business in Mahwah.

After the van was tracked down in Irvington, Harvey told police he was driving while Jamar Bludson, 35, of Newark, grabbed the bag full of cash. Harvey revealed that he bought a new Chevy Tahoe, with a starting sticker price of $46,000, after coming into the fortune.

Harvey was held on $125,000 bail, and he was charged with theft of mislaid property. Investigators also revealed that the ATM workers were not involved with the theft.
