"Straight Outta Compton" director F. Gary Gray stood alongside Ice Cube and some of the movie's stars on The Rise & Grind Morning Show to discuss their upcoming film and what we can expect to see on top of N.W.A.'s story. Aside from speaking on his relationship with the rest of N.W.A., one of the more interesting points in the clip Ice Cube mentioned was the music Dr. Dre is planning to drop this upcoming weekend, which is surely anticipated by many.
When asked about the soundtrack, Ice Cube stated "actually, Dre is dropping an album, inspired by Compton. He's dropping something on August 1." The "Straight Outta Compton" producer went on to say the album is one "everybody['s] been waiting for."
