Emile Weaver, 20, was charged on Thursday (July 23) with allegedly murdering her newborn baby after giving birth at the Delta Gamma Theta sorority house on Muskingum University's campus. The incident occurred on April 22, and the Columbus Dispatch reports that the Ohio student put the baby in a plastic bag while it was alive and placed it in the trash outside of the university-owned house where they baby died of asphyxiation.

Weaver is being held on a $1 million bail and is facing life in prison if convicted of charges that include aggravated murder, abuse of a corpse and two counts of tampering with evidence after she cleaned up the blood and other fluids from giving birth. Some of the woman's sorority sisters were in the house at the time she gave birth, but it's unclear whether they knew what Weaver was going through.
