Safaree spoke candidly with ThisIs50's Jack Thriller about his upcoming projects, obsession with motorcycles and his thoughts on Meek Mill and Nicki Minaj's relationship.
In the three part interview, the rapper admits he and the "R.I.C.O" rapper were never friends but were cordial. After exchanging a few jokes with Thriller, he says he was aware the Philly rapper was interested in Nicki, but everyone was so he was never threatened. He also says family members would make comments about his former flame so he was never surprised when he heard about rapper's lusting for the "Feeling Myself" rapper.
Safaree later opened up about the running joke of him being viewed as a weaker person than his megastar ex. "I was so used to playing the background s*** for so long, that I'm really being looked at differently now," he said. He also added that he was never attacked by goons in his hometown and believes that people are interested in using his fame to jump start their own.
"I guess I'm looked at as someone at as someone that n**** can come up [from,] or someone that can help other people, so I'm going to have have way more people approaching me than the average person."
