The Florida State Attorney's Office has released security camera footage of Florida State University quarterback De'Andre Johnson punching a woman at a bar back in June.

According to State Attorney Willie Meggs, he decided to charge 19-year-old Johnson with misdemeanor battery after viewing the June 24 footage taken at the Tallahassee bar, which shows Johnson deliver a brutal punch to the woman's face after the two got into an argument about their spots in line at the bar.

Johnson's lawyer Jose Baez tells TMZ sports that Johnson is "extremely embarrassed" over his behavior.

"While it is clear from the video that De'Andre Johnson was not the initial aggressor, his family wants to take the lead in helping him learn and grow from this experience," Baez said.

"He is currently participating in community service, and faith-based programs focused on battered women, substance abuse, and the empowerment of children."

"De'Andre is extremely embarrassed by this situation and would like to express his heartfelt apologies to everyone, including those who were directly affected, Coach Fisher and his teammates, the entire Florida State University community, as well as his family and friends."

Johnson has been suspended indefinitely from the FSU football team. You can check out the disturbing footage up top.
