Fans of rapper Rich Homie Quan may have wondered why they didn't get the chance to see him perform at this past weekend's BET Awards. According to TMZ, it was because the Atlanta native was told that he wouldn't be performing during the televised ceremony that he was originally scheduled for.

The producers of the awards show felt he was more appropriate for the red carpet pre-show stage, informing Rich Homie just a day before when he appeared for rehearsal. He reportedly wasn't pleased and felt "totally disrespected" by their last-minute decisions, and immediately left for Atlanta after getting into a verbal altercation with the BET staff.

Rich Homie Quan has since retweeted his DJ and several of his fans who felt he should have taken the main stage.
