Warren Sapp was charged with three counts of domestic violence after allegedly biting his girlfriend Chalyce Moore on April 28th at the M Resort in Las Vegas.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Sapp and his girlfriend got into a heated argument after he allegedly threw a margarita at Chalyce's head at their private cabana. The two then left the resort and headed to Chalyce's condo, but she grew tired of arguing with him on the way over and demanded that he get out of the car. At that point, Sapp allegedly bit Chalyce's middle finger.
After a failed attempt of hitching a ride with another driver, Sapp and his girlfriend continued to her place, where things escalated. The two reportedly threw a belt at one another, and when she bent down to get the belt Sapp allegedly stepped on Chalyce's face.
A friend of Chalyce's claim that she suffered multiple injuries from the altercation, including a distinct checker board bruise that matches the Jordan slippers Sapp was wearing the night of the incident.
The former NFL player is due in court on July 23rd to face three counts of battery constituting domestic violence, and if convicted he could face 18 months in prison.
