Back in May of this year, Matthew Apperson was arrested for allegedly shooting at Geroge Zimmerman, and today he was officially charged with attempted murder in the second-degree, reports ClickOrlando.

Even though the bullet missed Zimmerman, he checked into a hospital, for allegedly being hit by glass and other flying debris. Authorities have characterized Apperson as having a "fixation" with Zimmerman, and in an arrest report they mentioned that he was once confined to a mental institution.

In a release issued from the State Attorney, Phil Archer, he conveyed, "Our law enforcement community and the State Attorney's Office works vigorously to ensure people may travel our busy streets, going about their business, without fear. Every resident and visitor to Seminole County deserves this freedom."

Trayvon Martin was fatally shot by George Zimmerman two years ago, and he was eventually acquitted of murder.
