Action Bronson fans will surely be disappointed after learning that the New York-born emcee has been moved from the main stage at Toronto's NXNE festival after a petition stirred up controversy.

A woman named Erica Shiner started the campaign, claiming that Bronson's lyrics and music videos "glorifies gang-raping and murdering women." The petition was signed over 38,000 times, leading organizers to move the "Easy Rider" emcee off of the main stage.

Action Bronson also shared his thoughts online after being asked about the situation, writing, "Erica Shiner and her parteners [sic] either knowingly or unknowingly manipulated the meaning of the lyrics do [to] describe the non-consensual drugging and gang raping of the woman in the lyrics, based on the single line 'cuz I geeked her up on molly'."

NXNE organizers ultimately said they still want Action Bronson as a part of their show and added that they "find the limiting of artistic expression distasteful."
