Young Thug's fiancee Ms. Jerrika Karlae has used her organic confidence as a model and entrepreneur to start her own swimwear business, and within this VladTV clip the budding businesswoman talks about the inspiration to start her business, her charity work, and how she and Young Thug handle social media connections.
Jerrika quickly pays respect to swimwear designer Keva J, who helped to catalyze her own aspirations to become a swimwear designer, saying, "One day I was on her website looking at her stuff and I was completely inspired. After that I came up with the idea [to start my own line] and came up with some designs." After sketching, designing, securing a manufacturer, and building a website, she reveals her business came into fruition and "it was good from there."
"I love being the face of my own brand, but I really do love the Kardashians. I love Kim," shares Jerrika, who is up to the challenge of personally representing her emerging empire. Eventually, Kim Kardashian, Cassie, and Nicki Minaj are selected as woman who she'd like to have rep her brand as well.
As the convo segues from building her financial wealth to being a positive force in her community, Miss Jerrika speaks about the charity work with which she's connected. "Programs like the Young Belle Project are important to me, because I think that we need leaders in the world for young women," she says of the Atlanta program for mentoring young women.
