Chicago Bears defensive end Ray McDonald was let go by the team following an arrest for misdemeanor domestic violence and child endangerment. Bears GM Ryan Pace told TMZ that the team "were very clear about what our expectations were," and McDonald didn't comply with the rules.

According to the site, McDonald is being accused of striking an unidentified woman while she was holding an infant. The athlete then fled the scene and was later found at the home of 49ers star Justin Smith, where Ray was arrested.

Last summer McDonald was arrested after his ex-fiancee accused him of domestic violence, but the case didn't go through after she declined to cooperate with the prosecution. She recently gave birth to their baby in March, but there are no details confirming that Ray's ex-fiancee is the woman involved in the recent incident.
