Maryland lyricist Logic recently sat down with VladTV, and this portion of his exclusive interview focuses on how he came to work with celebrated producer No I.D.

Almost three years ago while the veteran Chicago beatsmith was navigating through countless blogs, he happened to come across some of Logic's work, and his freshly showered girlfriend just so happened to enter the room and took an instant liking to Logic's music. That's what initially garnered more attention from No I.D., with Logic revealing, "If it wasn't for her, we wouldn't be in this studio right now."

The conversation then delves deeper into how No I.D. and Logic began working together. "He reached out on behalf of Def Jam just to kinda get a feel for me. We ended up having a meeting with him," reveals the "Young Sinatra" rapper. The negotiation process was both organic and simplistic which has led to a fruitful professional relationship.

Logic offers addition insight into his professional and personal respect for No I.D., saying "Without him I wouldn't be the artist, or the young man that I am today."
