Stephen Curry has stolen the hearts of basketball fans from all over the world, but his dad remembers when the Golden State Warriors guard's talent was too much to bear.

In an interview with Sports Illustrated, Steph's father Dell Curry explains how one of his son's games caused him to leave. In eighth grade, Steph played a game so impressive, he scored a total of 63 points. Dell says that watching the other team being defeated was so hard to witness that he left before his son scored the last 20 points against them.

"All these people were coming in to see what was going on, and there was so much commotion, it seemed like he was never going to stop," he said. "I had to get out of there. I felt bad for the other team. I couldn't watch what he was doing to those kids."

The point guard shared some of his tips on staying focused during his games. "You keep your foot down and consume yourself with everything else that's happening, every other little detail," the MVP said. "The idea is to shut out every possible distraction, and think about your teammates, so you don't think about yourself. Because you know the hot is eventually going to run out and the moment is going to pass."
