The recent murder of Chinx has drawn comparisons to the 2007 unsolved killing of fellow Queens rapper Stack Bundles, whose brother thinks the two shootings could be related.

Stack's brother Ronald Ulmer shared his thoughts on the situation to the NY Daily News, "I really think they could be related. They were tight. They were a crew. And I just think if a person commits a crime as harsh as killing, and they think they got away with it, they will surface and do it again."

Chinx was spending time in jail when Stack Bundles was violently gunned down outside of his Redfern Houses residence in Far Rockaway in June 2007. The murder has yet to be solved and his family is glad that the case is getting attention again, with Stack's sister saying, "(Chinx) is laying in the same place my brother did. For what? For rapping? For what he believed in? You got to look at that. Somebody's out there aiming for us."

NYPD detectives are also thinking that the two cases are related, and Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce shared details about the state of the investigation.

"They were friends, Stack Bundles and Chinx. They were friends, so we're looking at all hip-hop angles. We've been getting a lot of information from the hip-hop community, from social media sites, any contacts this individual (Chinx) may have had. I do not have an eyeball witness right now to that scene."

Boyce added that the investigation is "long term," and we'll be sure to update you on all the details as the are available.
