Despite their recent domestic violence altercation, which later led to an arrest on both parts, WNBA star Brittney Griner and Glory Johnson still walked down the aisle and got hitched.

However, their trouble hasn't stop there, as the WNBA has officially suspended the two players for seven games, without pay, for their fight and bad judgment. The incident occurred at the couple's Phoenix area home, and although them being engaged at the time, the pair never put a halt to their nuptials, eventually getting married two weeks after their fisticuffs.

Griner, who plays for the Phoenix Mercury, and Johnson for the Tulsa Shock — will each begin their suspensions when the WNBA season begins in June. The season is only 34 games long and by missing the 7 games, the pair will miss roughly 20% of the season.

According to TMZ, the WNBA President Laurel Richie actually consulted with NBA Commissioner Adam Silver on her ruling— as well as several abuse counselors and domestic violence groups — before reaching her final decision.

In addition to their 7 game suspensions, Brittney and Glory will each have to attend individual counseling sessions, with Griner set to undergo 26 weeks of domestic violence counseling.

So much for the honeymoon.
