Police are now painting Matthew Apperson as being obsessed with George Zimmerman after firing off a shot during a road rage incident. According to TMZ, a crime scene detective overheard Apperson saying, "I hope I got him this time." The two men had a previous road rage incident last year, which led police to look further into the situation.
Zimmerman, who gained national attention for shooting and killing 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, told police that Apperson drove up next to him and said, "You remember me, you fat motherf**ker?," and allegedly added, ""You owe me your life. The only reason I didn't press charges on you is because I wanted to kill you myself."
Apperson fired one shot at Zimmerman, who was not wounded, but claims that the aquitted killer threatened his life, prompting him to shoot.
