What may have been a couple of innocent photos resulted into a full-fledged conversation about cultural appropriation on social media last night. Khloe Kardashian and Kendall Jenner posted photos on their Instagram pages yesterday as they flew on their private jet with their mom, friends and Popeyes' Chicken, and many commenters felt the sisters were "trying to be Black." Some even went on to post long stories about how the sisters keep enhancing themselves to appeal to Black men, and how they are notorious for emulating Black culture. In the midst of the thousands of comments left on their pages, Khloe got on Twitter today to defend herself and Kylie against the bashers.

"I wasn't aware that food was limited to a certain skin color... I thought food was not specific to skin color but to humans in general," Khloe wrote, who says they were just breaking bread together and questions how they were trying to be Black.

Do you believe the sisters had a hidden agenda, or were their fans just taking the photos to heart? Take a look at the photos for yourself in the gallery and let us know in the comments.
