A couple of weeks ago, "Best Man" franchise director Malcolm D. Lee took to his Twitter account to officially announce the third installment to the "Barbershop" movies. He announced that rap star Nicki Minaj will be joining the original cast which includes Ice Cube, Eve, and Cedric the Entertainer. Now it has been confirmed that another rapper/actor has been cast, and it's none other than Oscar-winning Chicago native Common.

Common has been really flexing his acting muscle lately, as he's also set to appear in the supervillain flick "Suicide Squad" and Spike Lee's "Chiraq." When it comes to Miss Minaj, she hasn't confirmed it herself yet, but director Lee tweeted it out and gave a positive response to her fans who inquired about her role.

There is no set release date as of yet for "Barbershop 3," which comes 11 years after "Barbershop 2" was released in theaters and grossed over $65 million domestic. Look through the gallery above to see what Malcolm and Eve had to say about the anticipated film.
