Shad "Bow Wow" Moss recently joined the cast of CSI spinoff, "CSI: Cyber" and took the time out to speak with Global 14 about the show, while also acknowledging hit Fox series "Empire," saying he feels the show is stereotypical, and he has no interest in joining the cast or guest starring.

"When we were still filming Cyber episodes, Empire's first episode premiered. Fans were saying, 'Man, you should have been on the show.' But we all don't rap or play basketball," he said. "We can do so many things. There are young African-Americans who are intelligent enough to work at the FBI. That's what's so bright. Hopefully, I can help start a new wave of young black actors who don't want to stereotype themselves."

Moss was immediately criticized for his statements, with fans pointing out that his past roles in movies like "Madea's Big Happy Family," "Lottery Ticket," and others contained elements of black stereotypes as well. Others defended his view, saying Bow is right to look for roles outside of the typical "rapper" cliches.
