The University of Oklahoma chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon is under serious heat after cell phone footage of the frat singing a racist "unofficial anthem" surfaced. The song included the line "there will never be a n***** in SAE!."

The incriminating video emerged over the weekend and was immediately deemed "racist," "disgraceful," and "reprehensible." The President of Oklahoma University, David Boren, has scolded the students and publicly denounced their actions on Twitter, where he said their behavior "will not be tolerated and is contrary to all of our values." He later released an official statement cutting ties between OU and the local SAE chapter.

"Effective immediately, all ties and affiliations between this University and the local SAE chapter are hereby severed. I direct that the house be closed and that members will remove their personal belongings from the house by midnight tomorrow," the statement included.

The National President of Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Brad Cohen, also condemned their behavior, saying he was "disgusted and shocked" by the video and promises the young men of that chapter will be "dealt with." It was later decided that this chapter would be placed on a "cease & desist" list by the President himself, essentially dismantling the frat's presence at the University. He also said that while the song was about keeping African-Americans out of the frat, there are several black members within the organization.
