Kanye West is still out to prove that Beyonce is the greatest female entertainer of the last ten years, coming very close to having a "Taylor Swift" moment last night when he briefly jumped on stage after Beck took home the trophy for "Album of the Year." While West didn't go through with the interruption, he spoke to E! News after the show and admitted that he feels Beck didn't deserve the win, but that he should give the award to Beyonce instead.
I don't even know what [Beck] said. I just know that, the Grammys, if they want real artists to keep coming back, they need to stop playing with us. We aren't going to play with them no more. 'Flawless.' Beyoncé's video. And Beck needs to respect artistry, he should have given his award to Beyoncé. At this point, we tired of it."
Beck responded as humbly as one could to the Kanye rant, saying Yeezy "deserves to be on stage as much as anybody," because of his many great records. He also admitted that he thought Beyonce would win too, but gave no hints that he'd be willing to part ways with his trophy.
