The New York Knicks have officially traded JR Smith and Iman Shumpert to the Cleveland Cavaliers in a three team exchange, which sent the now former Cavs member Dion Waiters to OKC.
The Knicks have been struggling horribly this season, and are actively trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together to regain their footing on a path towards victory. Everyone has been too distracted by whether or not Knicks star Carmelo Anthony would leave during this time of turmoil, so nobody really anticipated Shumpert and Smith heading over to Cleveland and joining LeBron James. Some fans are pretty happy with the trade, while others are more skeptical.
Iman's trade hasn't really been as alarming as Smith's, for many fans view him as a wild card that could either make or break a team's chemistry. Regardless, JR and Iman are very talented, so it should be interesting to see what they accomplish on the Cavaliers roster.
