A teen who recently traveled to Sudan has been hospitalized with Ebola-like symptoms in New York.

According to The New York Post, the 14-year-old boy fell under a high fever on Friday. He was later taken to a hospital in Brooklyn to see if he had the deadly virus.

His family revealed to authorities that they took a family trip to Sudan in North Africa for two weeks. While the Ebola virus has only hit West African countries like Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone, it was recently reported that the virus is at risk of spreading.

The teen has yet to be officially diagnosed with the disease. Other scares have been reported in Hawaii and Washington D.C.

This week Tim Duncan, a man who traveled from Liberia to Texas died of the disease, making him the first American to die from the virus.
