An article that ran by the New York Post has drawn the ire of former Fugee Pras.

The newspaper ran a story with the headline, "Ex-Fugee Rapper Bailed On His Own 9/11 Benefit Concert," and Pras has reportedly retaliated with a $30 million defamation lawsuit.

"The drafting, publishing and dissemination of the article was accomplished with a reckless disregard for the truth," the lawsuit states."

"The reckless 'reporting' would be deemed as such had a high school student drafted the article. However, the authors are seasoned, experienced 'investigative journalists' employed by one of the most widely circulated newspapers in the world."

Pras accuses the NY Post of falsely stating that he did not show up for the benefit concert held by Hope For Them Foundation. In addition, Pras is demanding the newspaper print a retraction and apologize for the damage to his reputation.
