Due to footage of him clocking his then-fiancee, now wife Janay Palmer in an elevator, Ray Rice has officially been terminated by the Baltimore Ravens and has been suspended indefinitely from the NFL altogether.
While footage of Rice dragging Palmer's seemingly lifeless body out of an elevator was released months ago, this morning TMZ Sports released new footage of the couple walking into the elevator together, clearly upset with one another already as Rice appeared to spit on Palmer before the doors even closed. He then proceeded to hit her, to which she responded by attempting to approach him, but he quickly punched her in the face, knocking her out.
The initial footage only got Rice suspended for 2 games, a move NFL commissioner Roger Goodell later admitted was too light of a punishment. This footage is clearly doing more damage. Rice was in the middle of a 5 year, $50 million contract with the Ravens that he signed back in 2012.
