San Francisco 49ers' defensive lineman, Ray McDonald, was arrested on a felony domestic violence charge.

According to USA Today, San Jose police arrested McDonald around 3 a.m. at a suburban home. It isn't know if the residence was McDonald's, but the player allegedly punched a pregnant woman.

Reports claim that several members of the team were present during the incident. The team released a statement following the arrest, confirming that they are aware of the situation.

"The 49ers organization is aware of the recent reports regarding Ray McDonald and we take such matters seriously," the statement read. "As we continue to gather the facts, we will reserve further comment."

McDonald will appear in court over the charge on September 15.

This week, the NFL announced a domestic violence policy in which players would be suspended for six games if they're involved in a domestic violence case. A second offense means a lifetime ban from the sport.

McDonald's bail is currently set at $25,000.
