Nick Cannon's marriage to Mariah Carey has reached a dead end, but according to the Wild N' Out executive producer, and contrary to popular belief, he's the one that's leaving the union -- not Mariah.
TMZ reports that Nick is in fear for his children's safety and that Mariah's emotional state has led to a toxic environment that he can no longer take part in.
Sources contend that Nick simply wants to end the marriage as peacefully and amicably as possible, and create a space separate from Mariah where his children can be safe from the "chaos" in their home.
Nick has told those close to him that he believes his kids are already showing signs of emotional upset from living with Mariah and that he's extremely concerned for her mental health.
He's also stated that he's wary of her team, whose only worry is her ability to pay their salaries.
