Paul George of the Indiana Pacers suffered a grueling leg injury on Friday during the USA Blue-White scrimmage game.

According to CBS Sports, George broke his right leg during a transition defense play with James Harden.

Right after the injury, which you can see above, the player was carried away on a stretcher and the game was canceled.

Doctors have told ESPN that the player suffered a compound fracture of the tibia and fibula, and will be hospitalized for the next three days.

Sources also say that the Pacers star will most likely miss the upcoming season.

George tweeted after the incident and seemed to be in good spirits.

"Thanks everybody for the love and support.. I'll be ok and be back better than ever!!! Love y'all!! #YoungTrece" he tweeted.

The scrimmage game was held to pick players for the upcoming FIBA Basketball World Cup later this month.

Talks of George taking a spot on Team USA as the 12th man were reportedly made before the injury.

The Pacers released a statement shortly after the injury.

"We are aware of the injury sustained by Paul George in Friday night's Team USA game in Las Vegas and we are obviously greatly concerned," president of basketball operations Larry Bird said. "At this time our thoughts and prayers are with Paul."
