Dr. Dre and Tyrese celebrated Beats' big deal with Apple with a few Instagram videos Thursday night.
If you haven't heard, the legendary producer sold Beats to Apple for $3.2 billion. Dre owns somewhere around 20 to 25 percent of the company, and after capital gains taxes, the Compton native will be upping his net worth to around $800 million -- not quite billionaire status.
Tyrese celebrated with Dr. Dre and friends as they bragged about the big payout.
"The first billionaire in Hip Hop," Dre says. "Right here from the motherf******* West Coast."
According to Forbes, this will be Apple's biggest purchase yet. They will also own Beats Music, the subscription streaming service, along with the high end headphones. Beats Music is one of iTunes' biggest competitors which makes this a smart move for Apple.
The deal isn't closed just yet, but according to Dr. Dre it's pretty close. Take a look at the mini celebration above.
