Macklemore gained a lot of attention after sweeping the Grammy Awards in the rap category, beating out predicted winner Kendrick Lamar. Now, and unearthed 2009 tweet about 9/11 is getting him more attention, and has Macklemore being labeled a "9/11 Truther."
"911...Bush knocked down the towers," read the tweet, which was later revealed to be a line from Mos Def & Immortal Technique's "Tell The Truth (Bin Laden). The "Thrift Shop" rapper also shared his own thoughts on the harrowing world event on "Bush Song" from his 2005 debut.
One of the lines in the song reads, "Where's Dick Cheney at? Probably off in Iraq
Findin some oil to tap, tell em I got up on that. And y'all still think it was Bin Laden. When it was us and the Masons, plottin on oil profits"
