Houston rap veteran Paul Wall stopped by Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club with famed jeweler Tv Johnny recently to discuss their current endeavors. During the interview Paul Wall was asked about Beyonce and whether he got to see the singer on her recent sold out tour stop in their hometown. Paul Wall unfortunately couldn't make it because he was playing a show in NYC, but Tv Johnny was there and attested that Beyonce treated everyone with the utmost respect backstage.

Paul Wall then chimed in to recall a time when Destiny's Child was not being well received by the hometown Houston crowd.

"At first I remember a while back when Destiny's Child first came out. It was a big concert, sold out, No Limit. It was like in '99 or sometime around then when No Limit was just on top. And Houston, of course, was a big hub for No Limit, so they did a big, sold out show at the Compaq Center where the Rockets played. And for some reason Destiny's Child was the opening act for the show. It was real, super hood with the No Limit and then all of a sudden you have Destiny's Child. So when Destiny's Child opened up I remember them getting booed and I remember being ashamed of my city, thinking 'Man, how can anyone boo them, they're from Houston? We should be saluting them because there's not a lot of R&B singers coming out of Houston.'"

Paul Wall continued, complimenting Beyonce on her growth as an artist and how she's beloved in Houston now: "For them to do what they've done just goes to show, man, she really earned her love in Houston. How she gets treated now, they love her in Houston. Everybody love her in Houston."
