It is alleged that actor Tom Cruise made statements comparing filming a movie to a tour in Afghanistan on Saturday, Nov 9th.
The quotes came from legal documents related to a $50 million libel suit against a publishing company over accusations Cruise abandoned his daughter Suri after his divorce from Katie Holmes. "That's what it feels like," Cruise said, referring to the Afghanistan comparison. "And certainly on this last movie, it was brutal. It was brutal."
Cruise was further asked, "Do you believe that the situations are the same?" to which he replied with "Oh come on, you know, we're making a movie."
Whether or not the statements were made or not, the news has aroused widespread criticism; something Tom Cruise is certainly no stranger to.
