Former New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez was indicted on first-degree murder charges for the killing of Odin Lloyd, a 27-year-old semi-pro football player from the Boston area. Prosecutors are claiming that Hernandez and two other men drove Odin to North Attleboro Park, where they shot him and left him for dead.
The indictment reaffirms charges previously brought up by prosecutors against Hernandez, who pleaded not guilty. Investigators are not revealing who they believe fired the shots; however, only Hernandez has been charged with murder.
