Daylyt dropped a blog today, August 13th, addressing Kendrick Lamar's controversial "King of New York" line that he spit on Big Sean's "Control" featuring Kendrick and Jay Electronica.  Daylyt stated that he and Kendrick are friends and "go way back," and that he was an influence in Kendrick's decision to use that line in the song.

According to Daylyt, he was in the studio working with Kendrick not too long ago and Kendrick was on the fence about saying the line because he didn't want to "offend" anyone too badly; however, Daylyt allegedly influenced him to shake up the hip-hop world and put the line "I'm the King of New York" on the song.

How do you feel about Daylyt taking partial credit for such an epic line?
