Amanda Bynes is currently being held at a mental institution under close observation, and according to TMZ, doctors and those close to her claim that she is showing signs that she may possibly be suffering from schizophrenia. She was taken into custody on Monday night, July 22nd, after starting a fire in an elderly woman's driveway in Thousand Oaks, CA.
The medical staff at the institution she's being held at reportedly will seek to have a 2 week extension set in place in order to have more time to properly diagnose Amanda. TMZ claims that sources have told them that her parents are going to seek a guardian for her, for they feel as though she may be a threat to the public and herself.
