Dr. Dre, Jimmy Iovine and their Beats Electronics brand are set to offer a new music streaming service called Daisy. Beats has reportedly received a $60 million investment round which it's using to form a standalone company.

Details on the project are still scant, but Iovine and Dre have teamed up with Nine Inch Nails front man Trent Reznor, who teased the project in an interview with the New Yorker.

Daisy has stiff competition from Spotify, Pandora and Rdio, but with the power of industry vets behind them Beats could be on to the next big thing.
